a view on love...

Know that this is not part of the scheme I am trying to employ in this blog. More of a personal nature, I shall let the title speak for itself.

This concerns a certain topic that has taught me a lot more about life. Of course, I am talking about love. I sometimes wonder if there should be a norm for what feelings we should have. Come on friend, don't you sometimes question yourself if what you're feeling is the right one or not? Most of us rarely get an answer though, because we've got more important things to worry about, like passing Physics :-) . But on the other hand, the fact that we're giving it thought and it on the other hand giving us worries, its already clear enough that this has to have some meaning. And that meaning may either make us experience heaven, flying as high as we can imagine, or it could dampen the very essence of living life. You see, some of us allow ourselves to be affected by something that shouldn't be. And I admit, I was one of them, and I'm making this post in the hope of maybe, just maybe, you may be guided and not find yourself in the same rut I was.

In life, we usually do our routine. Wake up, go to school, come home, sleep, and repeat the whole process again, not including the eating and joking around in between them. But that will greatly change, not because you won the lottery or anything, but because you've found yourself falling for another person of the opposite sex. This gets an even major emphasis in the event that it is still youzr first time. You find yourself somehow floating in clouds every time you see each other, and most especially when you go together. You see friend, it is but natural. Do not feel anything against yourself, for it is part of nature's way of saying that you are growing up. And in this regard, the decisions and principles you follow at this stage are very critical in dealing with how you will be seeing this as you mature. Here are some tips that might help:
  • Never overreact to your feelings.
  • Be mature enough not only to handle your feelings well, but to also not disregard what responsibilities you have, especially your own life.
  • Remember that your supposed loved one is part of your life, NOT YOUR WHOLE LIFE. Simply give time for yourself too. If you're too in love already, lay back and try to think of yourself for even just a bit.
  • Know that oftentimes, people who get into relationships this early in their lives do it for the reason that they can use their 'partner' for something else, e.g., helping in Science, or being with someone who is materially blessed.
  • In the case of a break-up, wherein the supposed love-of-your-life leaves you for dead and runs around with some other person, try to stop and think. If you did nothing wrong in the relationship, then you deserve someone better. There are around 6 billion other people in the world. Saying that you can't find any other is quite ridiculous, for you surely will.
  • Control the relationship, don't let it control you. Some relationships actually destroy the life and principles of someone who has tried his/her very best to achieve such. Trust me, there are.
  • Lastly, never say that someone you were with means nothing to you know, because for sure, for in one way or another, he/she has taught you to become the better person you are today.
Being unfortunate in these kinds of matters, I feel it is my duty to be a beacon to anyone who is drawn by it. Posting up what my life has been, it would be too long. But if you really want to, or just want any advice, add me up at ace_of_spades0804@yahoo.com. I'll do my best to help, as I will always.

Reactions

Now, before you start nagging about me posting something that involves a school lesson, stop. Why? Because I'm not. This here post is just a part of the message that I will try and hopefully succeed in making you, my friend, realize what life is all about. Let me lead you on as to how I can either make such a stupid post, or make one that just makes you stop and think. Should you get to experience the latter, then you are smart enough to understand what I'm trying to convey. Well, enough of the chit-chat;let's get down to business.

You might be wondering why I had named this post such. The answer for that is simple:the reactions and comments I got after I had told people to read it. For one, I didn't get any comment of indifference, and that for me is already proof that I am making some sense. You see, my main objective of creating such a blog was for people to be out of the shadows and realize what kind of life they are leading. Most of the people I know, people with a lot of potential, seem to follow a bandwagon and throughout their lives still continue to do so. I mean, come on, there's got to be a good reason for having freedom of thought. What use would our minds be is we just follow someone else's?

Some people actually came to me and told me that they agreed with me. Some of you may have noticed my YM status saying "not for honors class students". And others actually thought I was insulting a certain group of people(which in one way or another I was :-) ). What can you expect from such a diverse society eh? My point is, I am just beginning. Should you choose to follow this out till the end, well and good. Stop at different parts, it'll be highly appreciated. But totally disregard this, and you know you still have a lot to learn in life. It's your choice though, I can't force you to do something you have no will of doing. Then again, I'm hoping you make the right one.

Aiming with Priorites

Does it ever occur to you that while some people try to do their best in being hardworking and diligent in getting high grades and such, while others take it lightly and seem as if nothings troubling them, in the end all walk with the same pride of being able to graduate. You see, it doesn't matter if one gets high marks. Face it, getting perfect in your Physics exam will never make you an Albert Einstein or anyone else close to what he is. True, we all have that capacity to do more than we already are, but its never the brains that allows us to succeed; it's that courage to do. Take the honors class for example. Average IQ may be high, but less than half of the number of students with a superior IQ are in that class. The others are in other sections, they who are smart enough to know that there are more important things than grades alone.

Now friend, take this other example. There's this contest between the rabbit and the turtle. Its such a common story that you may have surely heard of it. Yet, what you may fail to recognize is the message that it tries to shout out to teachers. Ladies and gentlemen, the turtle won because it TRIED. On the other hand, the rabbit knew that he was the faster among the two, and knowing that he did not have to spit on his opponent when he was already down, he laid back and gave the turtle his 15 seconds of fame. You see friends, knowledge is not about knowing whats the answer of the square root of two divided by pi squared, but knowledge is about knowing why the answer is such.

In my sixteen years of breathing in this world, I often wonder why never had i the chance to control my heart-beating for once, and let my body control my breathing for a change. Why? Because it was meant to be. Just like majority of babies born in our beloved country are meant to be baptized Christian, so are we meant to not know all the answers to our questions. You see? That's what makes life worth living:that joy and pleasure that no matter how you look at it, there will always be room to learn.
