Aiming with Priorites

Does it ever occur to you that while some people try to do their best in being hardworking and diligent in getting high grades and such, while others take it lightly and seem as if nothings troubling them, in the end all walk with the same pride of being able to graduate. You see, it doesn't matter if one gets high marks. Face it, getting perfect in your Physics exam will never make you an Albert Einstein or anyone else close to what he is. True, we all have that capacity to do more than we already are, but its never the brains that allows us to succeed; it's that courage to do. Take the honors class for example. Average IQ may be high, but less than half of the number of students with a superior IQ are in that class. The others are in other sections, they who are smart enough to know that there are more important things than grades alone.

Now friend, take this other example. There's this contest between the rabbit and the turtle. Its such a common story that you may have surely heard of it. Yet, what you may fail to recognize is the message that it tries to shout out to teachers. Ladies and gentlemen, the turtle won because it TRIED. On the other hand, the rabbit knew that he was the faster among the two, and knowing that he did not have to spit on his opponent when he was already down, he laid back and gave the turtle his 15 seconds of fame. You see friends, knowledge is not about knowing whats the answer of the square root of two divided by pi squared, but knowledge is about knowing why the answer is such.

In my sixteen years of breathing in this world, I often wonder why never had i the chance to control my heart-beating for once, and let my body control my breathing for a change. Why? Because it was meant to be. Just like majority of babies born in our beloved country are meant to be baptized Christian, so are we meant to not know all the answers to our questions. You see? That's what makes life worth living:that joy and pleasure that no matter how you look at it, there will always be room to learn.

Haha..hey, wap..Aki here. Nice blog, although, as you said, it kind of speaks against the "some people" you've mentioned around once or twice ^^. true, that there are a lot more important things in life, but perhaps loving this aspect of life (the learning in school aspect) is what a certain person is supposed to love. Things are diverse, as you've said, and perhaps this is part of the diversity. Either that or I don't know what I'm saying..wahahahhaah..:)til here, wap!..il check out your blog next when I have the time! :)

aki! haha thanks for commenting, really appreciate it.. hmm... you may have a point, but do you really think that life is all about loving school? look at bill gates; he's a high school dropout. look at abraham lincoln;all he did was read books, never went to school. in a more mediocre setting, former president erap estrada was a dropout, yet will be forever in the pages of Philippine history as one of its elected presidents... haha not to argue with you aki, but for me, reality presents a much bigger picture than the imaginary world where shsj students live in. cge2, until next then.. hope to hear from aki/shiro/k8/yufa(??) :-)

nice!
all i can say is that...
well...
grades are important when you apply for college and when you apply for a job in the future...
but we should never forget to enjoy life...
the greatest regrets in life are the deeds left undone and the things left unsaid...
for the moments that pass are the moments that we will never have again...
so all im really tryin to say is:
relax and enjoy life...
there will be a lot more that we will have to face in the future... we must learn to budget the time that we have in accordancee with the priorities we have in life...

i say amen to that.. we must always learn to appreciate what we have today.. the world is not situated in the four walls of the classroom alone..
